AXA ION, first online life insurance store in PH
AXA Philippines, one of the country's largest and fastest growing life insurance companies, continue to redefine standards by being the life insurance company the Philippines to offer life insurance products online through AXA iOn ( AXA Insurance Online ).
" With AXA iON, we now give customers the chance to secure their financial future from the increasing costs of education, the burden of expensive healthcare costs, and the passing of breadwinner, all in a digital platform and in just a few, easy steps,"Hermans stated.
Hermans observes that most life insurance companies tend to create a lo of mystery or confusion around their products by coming up with a multitude of options, features and limitations, all packed in a lot of jargon.
"AXA Philippines wants to change this by offering the most basic financial products that can help people secure their financial future in a transparent, easy, and affordable way to the growing population of Filipinos who are logged on the internet on an almost daily basis," adds Hermans.
AXA iON offers four (4) fully-guaranteed products that make up the AXA exentials line, which are designed to be affordable with premiums starting at only P 1,000 month:
1. Savings eXentials is a fail-proof alternative to savings that provide better returns than a regular savings account returns, pays out the cash to your family even if you don't complete the 5-year savings plan in case of death or disability.
2. Academic eXentials gives guaranteed cash benefits once a year for 5 consecutive years, to help defray costs related to tuition or education. 3. Life eXentials is a back-to-basics income replacement plan. Unlike typical life insurance plans, Life eXentials pays out its benefits monthly over a period of up to 5 years so there's no danger of wiping out the insurance proceeds at once and ensures that the beneficiaries get a monthly stipend to replace the income of the loved one who passed away.
4. Health eXentials is the affortable complement to HMO coverage as it pays out cash upon diagnose of critical condtions such as heart attact, stroke, including gender specific cancers ( breast, cervical, prostate cancers), Alzheimer's disease, liver disease and 30 other critical illnesses.

Coca-Cola, TAYO Foundation
open new season of outstanding youth organization awards
Members
of Team BUNDOL Mountaineers, the Coke Barkada Awardee last year, with officers
of the Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. smile after planting trees
by the balding side of the mountain. The Coke Barkada award is given to the
TAYO Finalist that shares happiness, and embodies the passion in changing
communities through projects that mirrors what Coca-Cola has been doing in the
fields of water stewardship, women empowerment, and promoting well-being.
Manila, Philippines—
Coca-Cola Foundation Philippin
In its most recent
run, TAYO received a total of 286 entries, of which the
following winners were chosen: Gualandi Volunteer Service Program, Association
of Locally Empowered Youth-NM, Hayag Youth Organization, Kawil Tours, Tanay
Mountaineers Incorporated, Reduction Advocacy Program, TC Youth Laboratory
Cooperative, United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary -
Foundation University Chapter, Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid, Volunteer Service
Provider, and University of San Carlos-Pathways.
Special recognition was also given
to a high-energy team of Sarangani mountaineers dubbed Team BUNDOL, this
year’s Coke Barkada awardee. The Coke Barkada Award is given to one
of the TAYO finalists that best demonstrates the qualities of a Coke
Barkada – a group that shares happiness and embodies the passion to change communities
through projects that mirror the Coca-Cola sustainability
pillars ofwater stewardship, women empowerment, and promotion
of well-being.
A Lasting Partnership
The partnership between TAYO
Foundation and Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines – the social investment
arm of Coca-Cola Philippines and Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines - began in
2005 upon the institution of the Coke Barkada Award as a special category
in the annual TAYO Awards.
“At Coca-Cola, we believe that
you can never be too young to make a meaningful difference in the lives of
others. People may be calling this generation the ‘selfie’ generation but, as
one TAYO Finalist put it, it’s a we-generation or a TAYO-generation,
not a me-generation, as I’ve come to know them. I feel like
a proud mom to them, hearing their stories and getting
to know all the wonderful work that they do,” said Cecile Alcantara,
President of the Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc.
In 2006, Coca-Cola
Foundation scaled up its partnership to be the TAYO Award’s sole
co-presenter.
“Last year, I remember being
brought to tears when one of the TAYO Finalists went to the audience to hug her
friend during the awarding ceremony. Moments like these are the result of the
golden triangle at work: where business, civil society and government pool
together to help towards the growth of the country and its people. As a
Company, we believe that our business is only as strong and sustainable as the
communities we serve and through partnerships like these, we take the
opportunity to contribute all we can to make a positive impact,” said Atty.
Adel Tamano, Vice President for Public Affairs and Communications of Coca-Cola
Philippines, who also serves a judge in the panel for TAYO.
“You don’t forget groups like
the Team BUNDOL Mountaineers, Tulong Sa Kapwa Kapatid, or even the Cebu Youth
Ambassadors from the year before. These aren’t just groups, these are real
people with real stories and I look forward to being part of the panel again
this year to hear all of them,” he added.
The TAYO Awards 2014 is
presented by the TAYO Awards Foundation, together with the Coca-Cola Foundation
Philippines, in partnership with the National Youth Commission and the Office
of Senator Bam Aquino.

“Coca-Cola believes that physical
activity is requisite to being healthy. Understanding what energy balance
is—that is calories in, calories out—means knowing that the calories we take
in, whether from a slice of cake or a bottle of Coca-Cola, we should also be
able to expend. That is the core of our overall program on wellbeing,” added
Aponte.
The commitment of Coca-Cola
Philippines towards the promotion of wellbeing is hinged on a global
sustainability framework, which also involves women’s economic empowerment and
environmental protection.
Globally, the Company supports
over 280 active healthy living programs in 115 countries, helping individuals
make informed choices on food consumption, proper hydration, and the benefits
of engaging in different forms of physical activity. Among those done locally
are the Coca-Cola Football Festival, the Red Cross Million Volunteer Run, and
ongoing Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars.

The Coca-Cola Football Festival is
a collaborative effort between Coca-Cola Philippines, Powerade, Makati Football
Club, Alabang Football School, Alabang Country Club, and the NCR Football
Association.
Internationally, the Coca-Cola Company also has a long-standing
relationship with FIFA since 1974, and has been an official sponsor of the FIFA
World Cup since 1978. Through the Company’s ‘World’s Cup Campaign’, it invites
the world to celebrate football as a force for social good.

" ILO ILO "
Terry (Angeli Bayani) accepts a job as a maid
for an ordinary family living in a tenement in Singapore, where she quickly
meets her biggest challenge: the precocious ten-year old boy Jiale. Terry
nearly gets deported when the kid frames her for theft. But Terry will not be
pushed around, and with tough love and determination, she slowly wins the heart
of the little boy. As Terry takes charge of the household, she also strikes the
suspicions of the mother, a pregnant working woman who doesn’t want to lose
control. But the year is 1997, in the middle of the Asian financial crisis, and
the father has just lost his job. While the family struggles with their
finances, Terry’s employment is also put on the line. Based on the true
experiences of director Anthony Chen and the Filipina maid who raised him as a
child, Iloilo is the story of how
people across cultures connect with one another in the midst of frustrations
and doubts.
Iloilo,
inspired by director Anthony Chen’s experiences growing up with a Filipina
maid, is a moving tale about a young mother from Iloilo, Philippines who comes
to Singapore to work as a maid, and her employers, a Singaporean family
struggling to survive through tough times; and how they are able to build
connections despite their differences and amidst the fears, frustrations, and
doubts that surround them.
